Coldplay is one of the best-loved British rock bands in the world, with numerous tours, top sellers and awards to their name. Formed in 1996, the band's original line-up comprised Chris Martin, the lead vocalist, and Jonny Buckland, the lead guitarist, who met at University College in London. Originally the band was called Pectoralz, which later became Starfish after the bassist, Guy Berryman, joined along with drummer Will Champion, who also plays multiple instruments and provides backing vocals. The band finally decided on the new name Coldplay in the same year that they recorded and released their first three EPs: Safety, released in 1998, the single “Brothers and Sisters,” released a year later and “The Blue Room,” also released in 1999. This last single was the band's first major label release with Parlophone. Collaborations include recordings with Jay Z, Nelly Furtado and Rihanna, and the band have also said that Travis were a major influence on their early work, along with Muse, Kate Bush, George Harrison and Echo and the Bunnymen. Later influences include Arcade Fire and My Bloody Valentine. It was their single “Yellow” released in 2000, that launched the band to instant international acclaim, and their debut album, Parachutes, followed later that year, receiving Mercury Prize nominations. Coldplay's second album, A Rush of Blood to the Head, released in 2002, also received widespread critical praise and won a range of awards, including the prestigious Album of the Year award from NME. The next album release was X & Y, which was also well received, and the fourth album release was Viva la Vida, or Death and All His Friends in 2008, which earned them a number of wins at the Grammy Awards. Their fifth album, Mylo Xyloto was a chart topper in 34 countries. The band has also won a large number of awards, including seven Grammys, five MTV Music Awards, and eight BRITs, with over 25 nominations in all. Coldplay have sold over 60 million records across the world and have toured extensively across Europe, the Americas, Australia, Asia and Africa. They also strongly support a range of political and social causes and have performed extensively in charity concerts, including Live 8, the Teenage Cancer Trust, Band Aid 20, Hope for Haiti Now, Sound Relieve and the Secret Policeman's Ball.

It seemed like a long wait for this concert to start. We got to Lincoln Financial at 6:30, and opening acts went to about 8:40 or so then Coldplay started around 9:00. I was wondering..."is this gonna be worth the long wait?" And boy, was it ever!!! Oh my gosh, so much energy - the entire audience was on their feet singing for the entire concert! Also, the lighted wristbands make for an awesome sight. The whole thing was incredible and I wanted to fly to Phoenix to see it again! Bought tickets for Coldplay at Fed Ex as soon as they went on sale. This concert is the ultimate great experience :) Love all their music and all of their energy! Lights, fireworks, spectacular!

WOW! The lights are amazing!

Best show I have ever been too! The lighted bracelets just makes everything more fun! Seeing all the bracelets turned on for the first time was a beautiful sight! Trust me, no matter where you sit, or if you don't like them, you will have a great time!

This show was amazing! From the actual live music, the the true appreciation of fans expressed, to the humorous banter, to the glowing bracelets-it was excellent!! I've seen them 2 times before this and will see them as often as I can after this!

I went to see Coldplay September 2016 and it was AMAZING!! Ive been wanting to go to their concert ever since I was a kid and I finally had $ to go! I bought the tickets a little late and had to get tickets literally all the way on the top of the venue. But as soon as they started playing, it didnt matter! They have so much energy, the light shows, the fireworks was incredible. Even the famous Xylobands (they give you when you come in the venue and they are programmed to light up with the music) really gets you moving! INCREDIBLE concert! They played for about 2 hours and they played music from their first albums to now. Even though I was all the way at the top, I didnt care, you would enjoy it. My brother who went with me, who like coldplay but doesnt necessarily y know all the lyrics to all the songs said it was one of the best, fun concerts hes ever been to. You can tell how humble and thankful the band is to be where they are and be able to play to sold out stadiums. They make you feel like you are jamming with them not them at you. AWESOME CONCERT!

Virbrant and Wonderful!

I had an amazing time at the Coldplay concert!! They played most of their top hits, and the concert flowed beautifully-it felt almost like a spiritual renewal experience. Chris Martin was much funnier in person than I ever imagined, and so humble! With the colorful Xenobands and sparkling colour, it sure is a night you'll never forget!
